Big Finish Classic B7 Release
Blake and Avon teleport down to the Federation planet Straxis looking for Alexa, who has some information on an information gathering project the Federation may or may not have running. She does end up giving them something but it really doesn’t seem like a lot of information – not worth the cost that seems to be coming. There are battles and an overconfident commander who makes mistakes, thinking that he has already won against the prisoners and “rebels” he’s facing. A rather interesting little story here and though I guessed what the purpose of the planet was before they tell us, the details make it even better than I’d thought!
Great acting, the usual fantastic sound effects, and personalities galore make this a fantastic Blake’s 7 story. And I can’t wait for the follow-up to come, which has a trailer at the end, called Drones. How the heck will the Liberator crew get out of this one? They must somehow or the ending on TV wouldn’t be the ending we got but that doesn’t matter as much as the story does here.
