The Justice of Jalxar (#2.04)

  Big Finish, Fourth Doctor Series

This is a wiz-bang adventure!  Loved the action and how things are quick-paced.  There’s a very brief explanation of how Bobby got his hands on the Jalxar justice robot and somehow fixed it up, and another short explanation of just what the Jalxar justice robot comes from.  That felt a bit like it was crowbarred into the story but the rest flows nicely, even up to the final moments with the Doctor putting his guilt on the line and the robot chasing him down.  It was odd how there is a complete lack of communication between the characters but perhaps that’s just a 19th Century affectation.  Loved it overall, though.  Tom Baker is at his snide-finest and Mary Tamm is doing the self-confidence thing in spades, even with weapons shoved in her face at every turn.  Good stuff!
