Big Finish Jago and Litefoot Series
This story is a bit different from the J&L usual romp and it turns out to be kind of fun but also kind of uninteresting. We start the story out with two characters we don’t know in a showdown and one getting shot. Then we move to the Jago and Litefoot portion of the tale, where the Professor is talking to Sgt Quick about the gangs of people standing around on street corners. We later discover these are because of Mr. Wednesday’s “infernal contraptions” and he is converting everyone into something else (Ariochs) to atone for his sin of genocide of a species. Great guy. And the method for defeating him is just unexpected as is the way the masses will be converted back into humans. Eye worms to make them into something else to begin with is pretty gross. Yuck-o.
I just found it a bit absurd and the “villain” to be a bit too out of left field. Really? No one’s figured out what he’s doing after he’s already done this to 8 other planets? SERIOUSLY? Wow. Even the alien inspector doesn’t seem to have much of a clue. But he dies right away anyway. The symbiotic species that joins with the Professor is an interesting trip for him ultimately, a dead end, shall we say. Just made me go eh, whatever, when it was done.
