WOW. And again I say WOW. Here is a grand example of how the trailer for something can totally mislead you about the story to come. I had no clue that this story would be quite so intense. And it’s an intensity that builds from hmm, that’s not good to holy crap on a cracker, did I just hear what I thought I heard?!?!?! No robomen. No duplicates. Just straight up adventure and an amazing story.
So the Doctor finds out the location of Schalk from some wraiths on a ravaged world, goes to find him, and finds the Daleks instead. And somewhere in there there’s a police commissioner Qaren who helps Will and later the Doctor with Davros, who is there to find project 9001, Falkus, who is now surplanting him. Sort of. Oh dear. There are just far too many details to reveal them all here without spoiling things completely. This story just has lots of twists and turns, unraveling like a neverending fruit by the foot roll! The only questions I have are how did Davros remain in ignorance for so long, how much did Klein know before she finds out about herself (and that part almost lost me as I just couldn’t remember all of the previous details), and how the heck does Alan Barnes do it?!?!? Excellent stuff!
