The Wax Princess (#7.4)

Big Finish Jago and Litefoot Series

Well, we knew their time “on the lamb” had to end but the way it ends… Oh dear. And the very ending? Really. Seriously? I hate those guys but I won’t spoil it. Another comic book character taken way too far. So far Frobisher’s the only one I wish they did more of. These “guys”… Ugh.

I do like the story in general. But there’s a lot of action that has to be described and it’s a bit bothersome. There’s a fun adventure up through the first half of the story but then a lot of exposition has to occur to make things make sense. Jack the Ripper is included in this story but it doesn’t seem necessary. I definitely enjoyed the fact that J&L were pushed out of the general “establishment” and being on the run, they dealt with things as they came, without their usual resources. The general conceit of the season is fantastic! I just didn’t like the concluding story of how it all came together at the end. The other stories were just too strong in comparison!
