Quicksilver (#220)

   Big Finish Main Range

Due to the title, I momentarily thought this might be a Cybemen story but nope! Quicksilver is eventually revealed to be the name of a secret plan of the British after WWII ends, in Berlin, to tap the Russian communication lines. This is a rare 6th Doctor story that only gets better and better, with a few plot annoyances along the way. I was riveted! And Flip is back, and she works out GREAT along side Constance. Connie now perhaps? We shall see.

So the Doctor is taking Constance home, months after she left to travel with him. And he encounters Kinvar, someone the Vilal are desperately seeking for assistance in the war against the Boyarov. Plus it turns out that Henry Clarke isn’t quite so dead as Constance thinks and the Doctor must step in between the two alien species in an already divided Berlin, to stop an all-out war between them on Earth. It gets a bit complicated but it’s definitely worth it! I really, really enjoyed this one and I can’t wait to see how the 6th Doctor does with two strong women in the TARDIS…
