Chronoclasm (3.4)

Big Finish Jago and Litefoot Series

Apparently Dr Payne isn’t as good of an escape artist as he would hope! A metal sphere has ended up in the middle of Litefoot’s living room (or is it the dining room). So he moves into the Red Tavern and Jago sees his own sighting of metal spheres. And it appears that right next door to the Regency Theater there is a laboratory with Nikola Tesla and the good Dr. Payne doing experiments with time. After spending much of the story triangulating the location of the doctor, Leela, a professor from the future and present day, Sgt. Quick, and a Jago from the current day and the future corner Dr. Payne to get his story.

It is a sad story but he is willing to sacrifice everything and everyone for love, ultimately. Yet the beings in the metal spheres are also willing to sacrifice everything to get the stolen “time” from the doctor. So it ultimately all comes down to needing a big boom, which they already know will occur in 1983, I believe it is. And the chaos is ended! And Leela can leave. Or can she?

This story is a very nice conclusion to this series. I didn’t love it or hate it. It’s just very good.
