Big Finish Jago and Litefoot Series
It’s a bit odd listening back to some of the earlier J&L stories after listening to series 9. J&L aren’t quite as cohesive a team as Litefoot doesn’t tell Jago about his investigations and Jago feels the need to help anyway. It’s a bit different from their later adventures but still good. There are stories replacing one person on the team in series 7, I believe, but that was definitely part of the story plan.
With this tale, Professor Litefoot is investigating some vampiric killings in the city, where women are drained of their blood. Litefoot has called in Mr. Saunders for his expertise on vampires. Where does he get this expertise, perhaps you ask? Well, I think it’s pretty obvious where it comes from almost from the beginning. But I’m not sure Litefoot knows, though he denies that later on in the story. So there’s a lot of running around, investigating, and another murder of a witness. Then the showdown! The Professor has a plan but Sanders is ready for it. But he’s NOT ready for Jago’s plan as he shows up later. Somehow I suspect we haven’t heard the last of this villain in series 2.
Mostly I liked this story though there’s a bit too much covert action going on. Jago is in his element but I’m not sure they’ve figured out how to deal with the Professor yet. So Jago’s definitely the star of this story!
