Beautiful Things (4.2)

Big Finish Jago and Litefoot Series

Ah, the inestimable Kempston and Hardwick make an entrance at the very end of this story and once again put our heroes in the line of fire, so to speak. Claudius Dark is the focus of their attention and they will use Jago and Litefoot to get at him, no matter what the cost. In this story, there is a very strange thing going on around town, where artists are being robbed of their minds and their bodies waste away soon after. And it appears that Oscar Wilde is the focus of the “serial killer” as the next victim on the list. A serial killer with a library obsession that really does border on insanity, that’s for sure!

Jago goes to an Oscar Wilde play with Leela, who suspects the mysterious man because he has no scent. So she follows him and is captured, so Jago and Litefoot have to rescue her, oddly enough. That is really the only unbelievable part, to be honest. But if he’s not killable, perhaps that’s the reason. Everything really does hinge on coincidence so the ending pulls it all together. This is a fun story and hearing Jago be out-linguified is worth the price of admission!
