Luna Romana (#8.07)

  Big Finish, Companion Chronicles

This is the third of the Quadrigger Stoyn series and he’s reached the end of his very wacky rope. Down the rabbit hole he has gone, that’s for sure. If the universe can’t have a use for him, he will remake the universe to his standards? It’s a very odd little ending, to be sure, as he’s had over two thousand years to actually construct his instrument of doom so there’s not a lot of fiddling with it or final speeches as most villains like to do. And the introduction is a bit confusing because Juliet Landau is now the voice of Romana #1 since Mary Tamm isn’t available, shall we say. I need to re-listen to that intro because I initially thought Juliet Landau was playing Romana #3…

Overall the story is filled with time swirling confusion that could’ve brought it to its knees but instead, make it more of an adventure in multiple Romanas. And it makes the story a fun, exciting thing to listen to, though sometimes it is a bit of a struggle to care about Stoyn. At least the acting is fantastic throughout!
