Big Finish, The Early Adventures, Season 5
The only unsatisfactory part of this story is in the conclusion, which seems a bit simple, honestly. The all story happens on the campus of Cambridge University in the 1930’s. There are aliens among us and they’re not of the friendly kind. The robotic Proctors are herding people according to their controller and since the controller, the Provost, is missing, there is a race to take control that happens just after the Doctor, Vicki, and Steven arrive. It’s quite the intriguing tale and kept me in suspense about who was the ultimate villain straight through until the end. The way the students are “forced” to extreme emotion and the lack of any other authority figures anywhere on the campus was just enough for me to make it a 4 jelloid tale. It’s very good, ultimately, but left me with a few head scratching questions and moments that didn’t make it a 5.
