Big Finish Main Range
I can but hope that Blue Forgotten Planet blows away Paper Cuts and Patient Zero for storyline. Both have had interesting storylines with unique twists and turns but nothing to make me go WOW, I want to listen to that again! I like the paper warriors and the tombs in the sky idea, the resolution of the story is very nicely done, but I just didn't love it. I thought that Charlie's final stories would be very dramatic and crazy, much like when she left the 8th Doctor. Those were some good stories!
The prince in the story is just greedy and annoying. His mother the matriarch figure. The warrior/captain just that, with a mercenary side to him where he'll fight for the highest bidder. The prince doesn't seem to be as idiotic and paranoid with his ramblings but nope, he's just as greedy and archetypal as he sounds. His mother, the most evil person in the story, isn't really evil as much as amoral and lacking in the ability to care about the emperors in her care. There is no overarching purpose or goal other than power over others. A powerful motivation but nothing that drives the story into the realms for the magnificent.
