The Fourth Wall (#157)

    Big Finish Main Range

This is the dark version of The One Doctor – silly at times, funny, and so very 6th Doctor.  Though I hesitate to give it a 5 jelloid rating because of an almost complete lack of Flip!  She is out of commission from the first to the fourth episode and though it doesn’t bring the story down, it does leave the Doctor without a companion to do his “dirty work” while he runs around saving people.  But it all works out and I love the fact that the actors get to play alongside of their caricatures.  And there’s never been a better, more subtle title for a story in Big Finish!

It does seem a bit contrived how the ultimate danger comes into being but at the same time, it flows naturally out of the story.  So how “evil” the bad guy is works because of the fourth wall concept.  Finally another good story for the Sixth Doctor that’s also funny!  Go John Dorney!
